Fire devours 30 houses in Naharlagun
ITANAGAR, Jan 02: At least 30 houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Dokum colony, Naharlagun this evening. However, there is no report of any causality.
Unconfirmed sources informed that the fire broke out from a kuchcha house at around 4 pm, and engulfed suddenly nearby houses. 3 gas cylinders were also burst out causing the situation alarming.
Three fire tenders from Naharlagun and two from Itanagar rushed to the fire incident
site and doused the fire, Naharlagun police sources informed and claimed that 20-
Meanwhile, local MLA Techi Kaso visited the fire incident site immediately, informed All Nyishi Youth Association Capital Complex unit (ANYACCU) president J T Hannan.
Hannan further informed that ANYACCU has decided to distribute 200 kg of rice among the victims of fire tomorrow. The Association unit appealed the district administration and local MLA to provide shelter and immediate relief besides compensation to the fire victims.

AARCA alleges anomaly in work distributions
ITANAGAR: Recently central executive members of All Arunachal Registered Contractors Association (AARCA) conducted week long tour to West and East Siang districts recently to interact with members of district units.
The team was headed by Dipak Charu, President AARCA and RC Tassar, General Secretary Administration. During their interaction with district unit they discovered that there are gross discrepancies from various departments in awarding contractual works to its registered members.
In a letter submitted to parent body, the local unit of Siang district alleged that departments are allotting contract works to unknown contractors rather than without any open tender and requisites formalities.
